80th Birthday
This piece was a nice challenge.
I traveled back in time to find headlines from his birthday in ten-year intervals from each decade. The recipient was a retired investment banker with a fondness for military stories which I referenced throughout. He was also a very proud American who loved animals, farms, history and the great outdoors. It's now hanging in his office.

Anniversary
A fiftieth anniversary gave me an opportunity to create a collage that commemorated two people and their many wonderful years together. Nick was fond of motorcycles and liked working with his hands. Sophie loved the theater and traveling abroad, especially to their native Italy. They liked to ski, and both their astrological signs are included. Nick grew up in Brooklyn watching the Dodgers, so I managed to find the box score of their game against the Cubs from the day they got married. It was a fun piece to make and they were ecstatic to receive it. The glowing testimonial (from their adult son, who asked me to create it) says it all.
High School/ College Graduation
My goal is to create a totally personalized keepsake for each who person who comes to me; conceptual suggestions are always welcome and I like the challenge of bringing someone's ideas to life. An interesting concept for a collage was floated by Sasha Reist. She wanted a piece that highlighted her high school years in Mamaroneck/Westchester County as a dance student and the transition to the University of Arizona, where she pursued a fine arts degree in dance/theater. Sasha's years in New York City, sojourn to London and accomplishments at UA School of Dance are brought together. The thematic visuals tell the story and include her impressive performance/choreographic credits from the school.
